Our chapter is very involved with our campus, community and philantrophy events going on around MST. Each brother completes a minimum of 20 service hours to the community per person per semester. Our biggest philanthropic event is our chicken benefit dinner (Chicky B) held each fall semester around the beginning of November. We are well known in the Rolla community for the event, as it has been annually put on since 1960. We raise upwards of $5000 during Chicky B and all proceeds go to national and local charities such as Gingerbread House and Choices for People. The 2017 Chicken Benefit date is still to be determined. Our chapter is also involved in a lot of Greek week and St. Patrick’s week philanthropy events such as Gonzo Gives Back and Greek Week’s Day of Service. Our house tries to give every bit back to the community as the community gives to us in doing so we create a symbiotic mix in the MST environment.
The chapter house performs various fundraising events. In the past we have done can drives, Mini-Olympics, Watermelon Bash, and our newest event, Can-gineering. Our national fraternity is very involved in Feeding America (food-can drive), and Can-gineering was our chapters way of getting the Rolla community involved.
